HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

We are looking for an Executive Assistant to support the film Director in her daily work.
The Executive Assistant acts with priority and urgency, diplomacy and discretion, curiosity and interest in the art and production of animation

 

WHAT DO YOUR DAILY TASKS LOOK LIKE? 

  • you will assist the Film director on a daily basis
  • Immediate translation and transcription of meetings
  • Manage and handle daily operational tasks
  • Additional duties/projects as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Interest and/or passion for animation, filmmaking and the arts
  • Bilingual in French and English is required
  • Experience working with and across multiple teams
  • Experience managing and prioritizing a range of tasks under tight deadlines
  • Experience working effectively with people at all levels

Set & Props Designer

  • Design sets and props which will be used as references by 3D departments such as Modeling and Layout.
  • Accurately interpret 2D concepts from Production designer.
  • Work closely with Art Director and Directors.

Must have

  • Strong Artistic Skills in design, painting, perspective and composition.
  • Advanced skills in Photoshop and Maya required.

Nice to have

  • Background in art history and architecture.
  • Experience in a animated feature film.

About you

  • French and/or English fluency is required.
  • Good communication skills and ability to take notes and directions.
  • Ability to work within a team, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Remote work can be considered.
  • We favor European Union citizens or candidates with French work permit. Foreign candidates can be considered on a freelance basis.

Graphic & Motion designer

  • Design visuals for posters, products packaging, magazine covers, shop signs, user interface designs (control rooms, dashboards, etc…) that appear in the sets of animated feature films currently in production.
  • Harmonize drawing, typography and color within the design to create a ready-to-use image.
  • Think creatively and propose funny, striking and original concepts, graphics and layouts, to enrich the visual content of the film while remaining faithful to the artistic spirit of the film.
  • Adapt to the period of the films, whether it is old or modern designs.
  • Work closely with Art Director and Directors

Must have

  • Strong artistic skills in design, drawing, painting, perspective and composition.
  • Advanced software skills in Photoshop.
  • In-depth knowledge of typography, characters’ anatomy and color science is required.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of basic animation and visual effects using After Effects.
  • Knowledge of Illustrator.
  • Background in art history.

About you

  • French and/or English fluency is required.
  • Good communication skills and ability to take notes and directions.
  • Ability to work within a team, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Remote work is possible in the long term, but the position has to be filled primarly in Paris.
  • We favor European Union citizens or candidates with French work permit. The process of obtaining a visa being so complex and timeconsuming, only foreign candidates with a significative experience will be considered, for a selection of senior jobs.

Storyboard artist

  • The storyboard department produces the first version of the movie in drawings.
  • These drawings (or panels), once edited and dubbed as animatics, are used through production in order to plan the needs of all the shots that will constitute the film, both technical (framings, camera movements, special effects, etc…) and artistic (animation, sound recording, music, sets, matte paintings, etc…).

Must have

  • At ease with character and environment drawings (realistic/cartoon drawings, mastery of perspective).
  • Sense of narrative and notions of cinematography (be able to exploit staging, framing, composition, continuity editing, timing and all the key components of the scenes).
  • Good understanding of the cinematographic vocabulary and of storytelling.
  • Bring new and innovative ideas and approaches.
  • Capacity to bring a character to life (poses, acting, meaningful emotions).
  • Strong knowledge of Photoshop or storyboard software (ex: Toon Boom).

Nice to have

  • Experience on animated feature films

We are looking for a resourceful executive assistant to support the development and production of the Feature Films Director. The ideal candidate thrives on order and organization, likes to solve a variety of project priorities and initiatives and has a pulse on animation, entertainment and pop culture trends.

The Executive Assistant acts with priority and urgency, diplomacy and discretion, curiosity and interest in the art and production of animation

WHAT DO YOUR DAILY TASKS LOOK LIKE? 

  • you will assist the Film Director on a daily basis in the development of work plans and all preparatory elements related to the production
  • you will conduct documentary research for animated feature films
  • organize and maintain agendas, make appointments and create meetings, dinners, events…
  • arrange travel and accommodation, travelling occasionally to attend meetings to provide general assistance during meetings.
  • manage and handle daily operational tasks
  • communicate as an Ambassador of the director, during meetings with his teams and collaborator
  • additional duties/projects as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Interest and/or passion for animation, filmmaking and the arts
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Strong project and process management skills
  • Strong research and presentation skills
